So Maggie left town on short notice, leaving me (a hapless father) to manage getting our two girls to our various social engagements. We were required to bring a salad to the first event. So, I gladly went clipping in the “wild salad garden” section of the front yard and came up with: a bowl-full of buttery salad greens, an assortment of nasturtium flowers (we were lacking goodies for the salad), marjoram for the salad dressing and some cilantro to yummy things up. Not too shabby for a last minute salad!
